something negative about kerry Yesterday,
elgrande recently left a comment observing that I never seem to say anything negative about Kerry. That's not actually true (as I replied to him, which I'll translate here for English speakers!): I've complained about his middle-of-the-road "gays should have all the rights of marriage, but it shouldn't be called marriage" stance - I honestly think and hope that in a decade or two people who opposed gay marriage will be looked back on as we now look back on people who opposed interracial marriage; and I've complained about Kerry's increasingly bloody talk about "kill all the terrorists" as the prime means of addressing the problem of terrorism, totally ignoring the conditions which drive people to commit terrrorism just like Bush ignores it. So now today, in a strange cosmic coincidence, I get one of those "I dare you to print this" type letters from a Bush supporter, which informed me that some apparently nondisruptive peaceful Catholics were barred entry to a Kerry rally, so here you go: the account from Kim who was there.
