Hieraŭ kodrompiĝis la servo, kie loĝas mia retpaĝaro russcon.org kaj multaj aliaj retpaĝoj. Iuj brazilanoj eniris la sistemo, uzante iu sekureraro en la php-programo Pivot (kiu iu uzanto je la komputilo instalis), kaj poste ili atingis root kaj anstataŭigis la dosierojn index.* kun ĉi tiu portugala anonco pri sia l337-lerteco je ĉiu retpaĝaro sur la komputilo. Ŝajnas ke ili ne volas tute rompi la sistemon, sed simple la gloron de vidi siajn nomojn sur la retpaĝaroj. Bonŝance la sistemestro lernis rapide pri la invaso kaj riparis la problemon baldaŭ. Strangis vidi mian fuŝitan retpaĝaron; estis la unua propra sperto de tia kodrompo por mi.

Yesterday the server which hosts my russcon site and many other pages was hacked. Some Brazilians entered the system, using a security bug in the php program Pivot (which some user on the system had installed) and then they got root and replaced the index.* files with a Portuguese announcement of their l337 skillz at every website on the box. I guess they didn't want to totally trash the system, but just the glory of seeing their names on the websites. Luckily the sysadmin learned quickly about the breakin and fixed the problem soon. It was strange seeing my messed-up webpage; it was the first personal experience of that kind of hacking for me.
